Wine is not named “The potion of gods” with no reason. Istria is blessed with four different types of soil on such a small teritory, providing fertile ground for numerous and diverse wine sorts.

White wine is represented by Malvasia, the queen of istrian wine. Teran and Merlot, two kings on the same land, rule together to satisfy your lust for red wine. Muscatel is a sweet prince and delicious partner for each dessert.
Either way you can’t go wrong.

Paired well with gastronomical surprises, istrian wine is something you will insist on taking home.

On day one you will arrive to Istria and check in to the hotel. After the meeting with your tour guide the rest of the first day is off.

On day two you will visit the city of Pula, the biggest city in Istria and a cultural and historical hotspot of the region. After a tour of the most important spots of the city you will head to the near-by village of Šišan where you will have lunch at one of the most famous local restaurants. After lunch you will visit the first winery on this tour and try amazing wines made by the enfant terrible of istrian wine making.

After the tasting you will head back to the hotel with the rest of the afternoon free.

On the third day the tour will take you through the old part of the Istria. After breakfast you will head to the town of Saint Vincent where you will visit the Grimani Castle and find out more about the amazing history of the place while sipping on a glass of Grimani wine. The next destination of the day will be the village of Gračišće, an old templar hotspot with amazing architecture and stunning views. After the tour of Gračišće you will head to the city of Labin where you will first have an amazing seafood lunch, and after that you will visit the best wine producer on the east coast of Istria. In his 500 years old palace you will taste his amazing wines and get a bonus olive oil tasting, as he is also an olive oil producer with numerous awards won, for both wine and oil. After the tasting you will head back to the hotel.

The fourth day will take you to one of the most famous hilltop towns of Istria – Motovun. There you will have time to discover the narrow cobbled streets on your own before you attend to a short truffle products tasting. After the tasting you will visit a famous tavern that was praised by none other than the famous chef Anthony Bourdain. The truffle lunch will lay the best possible foundation for the tasting which follows afterwards. You will visit the winery which produces, in our opinion, the single best bottle of Teran in Istria. After the tasting of his wines you will head back to the hotel.

On day five you will have the whole day off to recuperate from the amazing wines and food you had on the first half of your tour.

Today you will visit the most magical part of Istria. After breakfast you will head to the town of Grožnjan which is an old hilltop town overtaken by artists of all sorts. It was nearly abandoned a few decades ago, but then it got another chance when artists started pouring in and giving new life to the amazing little town. There you will have time to explore it on your own before heading to the next nearly abandoned town that wasn’t so lucky – the village of Završje. There you will have a chance to see how life after people looks like. After  experiencing the abandoned Završje you will head to the town of Oprtalj which shares a similar fate, but it isn’t completely abandoned, probably because there is one of the best little taverns in Istria where you will have lunch before visiting one of the most famous wine producers in Istria. After the tasting you will head back to the hotel.

On your last day you will visit the gem of the mediterranean – the city of Rovinj. After the sightseeing you will head to another famous tavern and have an amazing traditional Istrian lunch. Following lthe lunch you will visit your last winery of this tour, which is also one of the most praised wineries in Istria and have a tasting of 15 different wines. After that you will head back to the hotel.

After breakfast you will check-out and head back home.
